Why a monthly retainer instead of hourly or per-project?
Hourly billing punishes us for being fast and makes you watch the clock. Fixed-scope projects fight every change of direction. A monthly retainer lines us up with what actually matters — shipping the right thing — with a dedicated team, a predictable cost, and the freedom to adjust priorities as we learn.
What does the monthly price depend on?
Team size. A one-developer engagement — a dedicated developer, a project manager, and our strategic oversight — starts at $9,500/mo. As you add developers to move faster, the retainer scales with the team. We size the right team with you on the call and agree on the number before anything begins — no surprise invoices.
Do you ever lower your rate?
Yes — for partners, not customers. When we genuinely believe in what you're building, we'll reduce our retainer in exchange for equity, so our success is tied directly to yours. If that's a fit, we'll walk through it on the call.
Is there a long-term contract?
No long lock-in. Retainers run month to month — scale up, scale down, or pause as your needs change. We'd rather earn the next month than trap you in a year.
Do I own what you build?
Completely. Your code, repositories, cloud accounts, and IP are yours from day one. We build on your accounts wherever possible so there's never any lock-in.
What if I only have a rough idea?
That's the most common starting point. Part of what you're hiring us for is turning a fuzzy vision into a concrete plan. Come with a napkin sketch and we'll take it from there.
Can you work with my existing team or codebase?
Yes. We can lead your current team, plug in alongside them, or take the build off their plate entirely — whatever gets you to launch fastest.
